The Petty Criminals band is the dream child of songwriter Rus McCoy who put together this group to articulate his lyrics and music. He was inspired by classic artists like The Eagles, Bruce Springsteen, Jackson Browne and Lynyrd Skynyrd, along with contemporary artists like Lady A and Jason Aldean while infusing it with the band's unique sound. (Hey, if you are a Petty Criminal, steal your inspiration from the best!) McCoy calls his style, "New Old School".
